That technology could definitely be used in a museum! I think the best would be to use QR codes to stream to interviews or videos of locations of artifacts. That way if you look at an object in a museum, in an instant you could bring up pictures of where it was found, photographs of the time period it would be from, interviews of those who remember using it, etc. I know in Boston they have a podcast tour for the Freedom Trail and I certainly think you could include QR codes at historical sites along the Trail to make the tour more interactive.
